While not ideal, sometimes in vitro fertilization treatment is the next step if one has tried to achieve pregnancy naturally and it hasn’t gone well. There are also some folks that choose IVF for genetic reasons. It can be a mourning process in itself, accepting that you won’t be able to conceive naturally after years of trying. There can be some structural malformation such as blocked fallopian tubes, endometriosis, or the male partner has an issue with the quality or quantity of his sperm. So before we move into supporting IVF, I like to speak to the emotional considerations as they are very important.

In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into crucial factors that contribute to a well-prepared body and a positive IVF experience.

The optimal TSH range for IVF candidates is between 0.5 and 2.5 mIU/L.

Additionally, a thorough evaluation of thyroid function should include testing for thyroid antibodies, free T3, and reverse T3.
