As the spring season arrives, many people are turning to bleach as a cleaning solution. However, experts warn that using bleach improperly can pose risks to both people and the environment.

Bleach is a powerful disinfectant that can effectively kill germs and viruses. However, it should not be used undiluted or mixed with other cleaning products, as this can release toxic fumes that can cause respiratory problems, eye irritation, and skin burns.

Instead, experts recommend diluting bleach with water according to the manufacturer’s instructions and wearing gloves and protective eyewear while using it. It’s also important to ensure adequate ventilation while using bleach and to never mix it with other cleaning products.

Furthermore, after using bleach, it’s important to rinse the surfaces thoroughly with water to remove any remaining bleach residue. Bleach should also be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from children and pets.

By using bleach safely and responsibly, people can effectively disinfect their homes without putting themselves or the environment at risk.
