What to swap out if you have acne

Got acne or uneven skin? I want you guys to know there are other options besides birth control pills or antibiotics, which mask the problem but don’t get to the root cause. Accutane is the same…it really works but you have to check liver enzymes while on it because of its high risk damage to the liver. Eeek trading one problem for another seems to be the name of the allopathic medicine game. Consider for a moment that just popping a pill while praying for the best & indulging in sugar or cheese, might not be the best option. .
🔹
Acne & poor skin can happen for A LOT of reasons. (That’s what consults are for teehee 😜) However, you can help yourself the most by understanding that true beauty comes from the inside out. You can’t put trash in your body & expect it to GLOW. So beautiful skin is an inside-out game. Inflammatory foods like sugar, processed dairy, soy & gluten can trigger inflammation in the body & this looks different for everyone. For some it’s weight gain, some have mood swings, others get acne. Plus if the inflammatory toxins aren’t pushed out of your detox pathways like the bowels, it’ll come out of your skin! Therefore constipation is also a reason for acne—because it holds toxins in as well as the fact that constipation recirculates estrogen, which can cause hormonal aberrations. .
🔹
This is another reason acne occurs-hormones! Jaw & chin acne usually reflects hormonal probs. The birth control pill is another bandaid that doesn’t answer the question: why are your hormones CRAY? Real practitioners will search for the why-are you exposed to a plethora of endocrine disrupters? Heavy metals? Do you have adrenal-thyroid-estrogen dominance-blood sugar issues? That def affects your skin as the body functions as a whole. One organ system affects the next. .
🔹
The gut & liver help to regulate & even make hormones so it’s easier to see how the gut-liver axis can interplay, besides just contributing regular bowel movements. if it’s inflamed, it’s likely the rest of you is too. Finally, de-stressing is SO underrated. This is THE theme for 2022. Slow down! Breathe. Relax. Your skin is mad but it don’t gotta be, friends!
